Het assortiment van Waterman Onions

Assortiment

Waterman Onions levert gele uien, rode uien, roze uien en sjalotten. Uien worden door Waterman Onions het hele jaar aangeboden en komen vrijwel altijd uit eigen land. Tevens importeren wij ook uien uit bijvoorbeeld Nieuw-Zeeland of Egypte. Zo kunnen we jaarrond de beste kwaliteit garanderen.

Gele uien
De gele ui dankt zijn naam aan de goudgele schil. Van binnen is de ui wit. Het vruchtvlees is stevig en heeft een pittige smaak. De gele ui is zeer veelzijdig en is geschikt om te koken, te stoven of te bakken. Hij past bij vele visgerechten, vleesgerechten, soepen en salades.
Rode uien
De rode ui heeft een dieprode, bijna paarse schil. Die kleur komt ook terug in de “rokken” van de ui. Dat maakt de ringen van een rode ui zeer geschikt voor decoratie en garnering. De rode ui doet het altijd goed in een salade, als garnering of als topping op een pizza. De schil van de rode ui is iets dunner dan die van de gele. De Nederlandse rode ui smaakt iets milder dan z’n gele soortgenoot.
Sjalotten
Sjalotten hebben een iets verfijndere smaak dan normale uien. Voor een wat zoetere uiensmaak is een gebakken of gekookt sjalot daarom perfect. De voedingsmiddelenindustrie gebruikt de sjalot vaak in fijne gerechten en sauzen.

Kleinverpakking
Onze kleinverpakkingen kunnen worden voorzien voorzien van labels met klantnaam en -logo en barcodes.
Grootverpakkingen
De balen zijn leverbaar als blanco polybalen of als bandbalen (de zogenaamde merkzakken). De balen worden gepalletiseerd en ter versteviging omwikkeld met een stretch polynet. De pallets voorzien wij van een label met batchnummer en verdere ordergegevens. Waterman levert ook in bigbags van ruim 1000 kg.

Verpakking

Waterman Onions kan uw uien afleveren in een breed scala verpakkingen met een inhoud variërend van een pond tot meer dan 1000 kilo per eenheid.
